Traffic heading toward Laqere [6.46am Wed 23rd Jan 2019]

Hundreds of people continue to be stuck in the havoc of massive traffic jams at every turn along the Kings Highway on the Suva Nausori Corridor this morning.

As people rush to get to work and school we have received reports that people who left Koronivia at 6 o’clock this morning have encountered moving traffic that was better than yesterday when travelling from Nausori to Suva.

Traffic heading towards 8 miles along Kings Road

People have confirmed to us that the flow of traffic is better than yesterday as police officers are stationed at various locations between the corridor controlling traffic.

Yesterday was frustrating for people who left Koronivia at 6am and were still stuck in crawling traffic in Caubati at 7.40am.

The Fiji Roads Authority is working to get both lanes on Princes Road in Dilkusha open as soon as possible as they recognise that Princes Road is an extremely important route into Suva City and complements the traffic on Kings Road.
