Hundreds farewell Hari Raj Naicker

Hundreds of mourners gathered to pay their final respects and farewell to the former first Fijian FIFA referee, Hari Raj Naicker at the dignified crematorium in Nakasi and his residence at Laucala Beach Estate today.

Naicker passed away last Tuesday at the age of 78.

He is survived by his wife, Kamla Naicker and only son Gyanendra Naicker.

Naicker became a FIFA referee in 1975 and served for a record 17 years before retiring in 1991.

Fiji FA President and FIFA Council Member, Rajesh Patel presented an eulogy to the Naicker’s family on behalf of the entire football fraternity.
