The Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission is trying to ascertain the facts from the relevant authorities that may have given rise to the particular provision of the Immigration Act to be exercised and the circumstances in which Professor Pal Ahluwalia and his wife Sandra Price were detained and subsequently deported.

Director, Ashwin Raj has released the statement this evening and a further statement is expected after they ascertain the facts in this case.
