Hotels and Resorts around the country are gearing for a busy festive season as many hotels are almost fully booked at this stage for Christmas and New Year functions.
The President of the Fiji Islands Hotel and Tourism Association, Dixon Seeto has confirmed this saying they are expecting locals and tourists to fill up hotels and resorts around the country in the next few weeks.
Seeto said many tourists tend to spend Christmas with their family in their homes but they travel to Fiji the next day for a couple of weeks for holiday.
He said Australia producers about half of Fiji’s visitors followed by New Zealand, North America and the emerging markets of China and India.
