The President of the Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji, Sarju Prasad is calling on all Hindus to recite the Hanuman Chalisa tonight in their homes as we celebrate Hanuman Jayanti, the birth of Lord Hanuman.

Hanuman Chalisa is a Hindu devotional hymn in praise of Lord Hanuman.

Prasad says while devotees will pray for their family's safety and security, they should also pray for our frontline workers who are working extremely hard to keep all Fijians safe from this deadly virus. He says we all should also pray for the COVID-19 patients and their families who are going through a lot of challenges.

Prasad says Hindus should pray for the protection and strength of all Fijians tonight.

Meanwhile, members of some Hindu religious groups like the Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Nabua and the Bhagti Marag Navua will be doing prayers today through Facebook live.
