Hindu Unity gathering postponed

09/08/2025

The Hindu Unity gathering, which was scheduled to take place today at the FMF Gymnasium, has been postponed.

Event organiser Sandeep Singh says that although a new permit for the event has been granted, the gathering will not go ahead as planned due to disruptions caused by the earlier cancellation.

He expressed his sincere thanks to the Commissioner of Police for taking the time to reconsider the matter and for approving the new permit.

He says this is a sign that respectful dialogue and persistence can lead to positive outcomes.

Singh says that an event of this magnitude and importance cannot —and should not — be rushed.

He apologised to those who had planned to attend and support this historic initiative, saying that new dates for the Hindu Unity gathering will be announced soon.
