Assistance is pouring in to rebuild the Levuka Public High School dormitory which was destroyed in a fire on Friday afternoon.
This has been confirmed to Fijivillage by Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary Dr. Brij Lal.
Dr. Lal added that the students are currently occupying the school’s hall and stressed that classes will resume as normal at the school from tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the National Fire Authority is still carrying out its investigation into the fire which started when the students were at Nasau Park for their interhouse meet.
Police had earlier confirmed that a student was near the hostel when the fire started however she managed to escape from the area.
A separate investigation is also being carried out in relation to a fire in Tavarau Ba which left seven people homeless.
The corrugated iron and timber lean to house was vacant at the time of the incident.
The fire had started around 2pm on Friday afternoon.
