People are advised to take heed of the flood warning issued by the Nadi Weather Office as the trough associated with the two tropical depressions to the West of Fiji is expected to bring continuous heavy rain.
Director Alipate Waqaicelua said with torrential rain expected, people need to take action now.
Waqaicelua said while the good news is that the first depression will not form into a cyclone, the two tropical depressions will merge in the next 24 hours, and will bring heavy rain.
We have been receiving reports of parts of Nadi and Rakiraki experiencing continuous rain.
People are advised to make their assessments now and move to high ground if they are in flood prone areas.
Meanwhile, DISMAC is reopening evacuation centres in the Western Division following adverse weather conditions.
