People are reminded that the heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of the Fiji Group and the probability of a cyclone is very low.

Acting Director of Fiji Meteorological Service, Terry Atalifo also highlighted that a strong wind warning remains in force for the land areas of Yasawa and Mamanuca, Northern and western Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and the Lomaiviti group.

Atalifo says the river flood alert remains in force for low-lying areas, small streams and flood-prone areas.

He says a flash flood warning remains in force for flood-prone areas in the Northern Division.

He adds as the coastal inundation alert remains in force for the coastal areas, people are advised to take precautionary measures.

Atalifo says abnormal high tides are expected over Fiji from 18th to 22nd February and may lead to sea flooding of coastal areas of the southern parts of Fiji.
