A heavy rain warning is now in force for the whole of Fiji.
The Nadi Weather Office say an active trough of low pressure lies over the group and is gradually moving eastwards.
The associated rain and cloud band continues to affect the group and is expected to gradually clear from the west later in the evening today.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
