There is a heavy rain warning in force for the whole of Fiji.

All of this rain is being brought by an active trough of low pressure still affecting the Fiji group.

Over the next few days, you should expect occasional rain that will be heavy at times.

You should also expect thunderstorms.

The Weather Office says there has been significant rainfall in the last 24 hours in Vanua Levu especially in Labasa, Seaqaqa and Nayarabale.

As there has been continuous rain in the last few days, there is a risk of flash flooding of low lying and flood-prone areas.

There is also an increased risk of landslides so please remain alert.
