A heavy rain warning is in place for the Southern half of Viti Levu which includes areas from Nadi to Sigatoka through to Suva and up to Tailevu and is also in force for Kadavu, Lau and the Lomaiviti Group.
A heavy rain alert is in place for the rest of Viti Levu, Yasawa and the Mamanuca Group.
The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the country.
They say the system is expected to gradually weaken by Sunday.
A flash flood warning is also in place for all low lying areas and areas adjacent to all major rivers of Fiji.
