A heavy rain warning and a flash flood alert is in force for the Eastern half of Viti Levu which includes Suva, Nausori, Lami, Navua, Rakiraki, Korovou, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Northern Lau and Lomaiviti group.
The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Fiji and it is expected to spread to the rest of the country from later today.
The system is expected to affect Fiji until Monday.
