A heavy rain alert is now in place for the Northern Division, Lau and Lomaiviti, and expect occasional rain, heavy at times and isolated thunderstorms over the rest of Fiji.

Heavy rain can affect some localised businesses, flash flooding of low lying areas, localised flooding of irish crossings and informal settlements and some disruption to traffic flow and poor visibility.
The Weather Office says the weather is expected to improve by Tuesday afternoon.
