A heavy rain alert is in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and nearby smaller islands, the Eastern half of Viti Levu, Kadavu, Lomaiviti and the Northern Lau Group.

Associated cloud and showers with the moist Easterly wind flow is affecting the Northern and Eastern parts of the country.
Showers in the heavy rain alert areas is expected to increase to frequent and heavy rain from later tomorrow.
Flash flooding of low lying areas is possible.
