Heavy Rain Warning remains for whole of Fiji while Flash Flood Warning Viti Levu and Vanua Levu issued

A Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for whole of the Fiji Group while a Flash Flood Warning remains in force for flash flood prone areas, small streams and low lying crossing in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

A Strong Wind Warning remains in force for the land areas of Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Western And Northern Viti Levu including greater Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki areas, Northern Bua and Macuata province and nearby smaller islands.

The Nadi Weather Office says Tropical Disturbance 05F was located just to the East of Vanuatu and far West of Nadi this morning and it is moving East at 15km per hour.

They say it is expected to go South of Kadavu by later today or tomorrow morning and has moderate to low chances to intensify into a tropical cyclone as environment is not favourable

Associated active trough of low pressure with cloud and rain is expected to affect the group from the West.

It is expected to affect the country till early next week.
