The United States of America has today donated approximately $745,000 worth of medical supplies to the Ministry of Health to support Fiji’s COVID-19 efforts.

U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Tony Greubel says they commend the extraordinary efforts made by the Ministry of Health to combat COVID-19 in Fiji over the past 18 months and are proud to support these efforts with the donation.

The medical supplies comprise of personal protective equipment, miscellaneous hospital equipment, linens, bedside screens, mattresses and laptop computers.

He says the US government procured all the supplies through local vendors.
