The Ministry of Health is requesting individuals in the Suva subdivision to consider blood donations at the CWM blood bank as there has been a shortage of blood supply in the last few days.
CWM Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr.Jemesa Tudravu, has appealed to the public for blood donations to assist patients requiring urgent blood transfusions.
Tudravu says that Ministry’s blood unit usually conducts blood drives but sometimes the demand is high and they need immediate donations to cater for the need.
People can visit the blood unit at the CWM Hospital where they will be assisted by the staff for their donations.
