Opening hours of the Health Centres have been extended to 10pm or midnight on a daily basis while Valelevu and Nausori health centres are open 24 hours.
This has been confirmed by the Minister for Health Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete when questioned on the opening hours of health centres around the country.
Waqainabete says that based on needs, the other health centres can extend their opening hours.
He says that under the old Act the health centres closed at 4pm and the government has seen the need to extend the opening hours and acted on it.
