HMAS Adelaide to take more assistance supplies to the North

More humanitarian assistance supplies for TC Yasa affected areas was loaded on the HMAS Adelaide at the Suva Wharf this morning.

Australian Defence Advisor Colonel Robert Haertsch says the humanitarian assistance is from Australia, other countries and agencies.

He says specialized personnel in different fields on board the vessel are part of rehabilitation works in Vanua Levu.

The materials that were loaded include essential building materials and school supplies to restore the schools in Bua, Cakaudrove and Macuata.

There were 800 desks and chairs, 45 water tanks and 12 diesel generator sets with fuel.
