Good news for athletes around the country as the HFC Bank Stadium tracks will be opened tomorrow.
The restoration works of the synthetic tracks started on 4th September, 2023, by Sphynx Solutions.
During the 2023/2024 National budget announcement, the government allocated $1.9 million to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, for the upgrade of the tracks.
The upgrade works involved the removal of the current track lines, and installation of new synthetic tracks system.
Meanwhile, the Minister for Youth and Sports Jese Saukuru had said last month that they were forecasting that the work would be delayed, but since the country has been having favourable weather in the past few weeks, the ground and the tracks are ready.
