Good news for guardians as they will be able to apply for the Inflation Mitigation Assistance from next Wednesday.
Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum made the announcement tonight during a press conference.
When asked on why guardians were not announced earlier with the parents, Sayed-Khaiyum said that they didn't want people to abuse it.
Sayed-Khaiyum says the guardians can get their application forms from schools or at the Legal Aid Offices where they will have to first sign a statutory declaration.
For parents that still haven't applied, they have until September 30th when applications close.
