Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has stressed that the Government will not tolerate mismanagement and corruption in the civil service.
Commodore Bainimarama made the comments at the 2011 Service Excellence Awards for civil servants at the Novotel in Lami last night.
He emphasized the need to deliver the best service delivery to the people which has seen many Govt offices now opening during lunch hour.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Information was one of the 14 agencies that received the commitment in Service Excellence awards last night.
Permanent Secretary, Sharon Smith Johns is confident that their effort to improve service delivery is deserving.
The same awards were given to ITC, office of the President, Prime Minister’s office, Ministry of Finance, DPP’s office, Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Fisheries, Works Ministry, Judicial, Ministry of Lands.
