Decades of using kerosene and benzene lamps as well as diesel generators to provide light, for the more than 400 villagers of Deladamanu and Natoaika in Naitasiri is now a thing of the past.
Today is the opening of a new chapter to the generation that now live at the two villages, as villagers now celebrate their new electrification project thanks to the Government.
Government spent a total of $1.3 million on this rural electrification project and electricity will be provided for 24 hours daily and 7 days in a week.
Natoaika villager, Joji Moroca said that it will make studying a lot easier for their children.
This is all part of its long term sustainable development objective to eradicate poverty.
