The Government aims to reduce the debt level to 75 percent in the next two years.
This has been highlighted by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad who says debt levels had reduced from over 90 percent in 2022 to 78 percent.
Professor Prasad says inflation was at an all-time year low of 1.3 percent in 2024 and 1.4 percent in February 2025.
He adds while the path to economic resilience requires difficult choices, their actions are ensuring a more stable and prosperous future for all Fijians.
