Minister for Education Rosy Akbar says government is working towards developing frameworks and effective policies that will further enhance the cultural sector.

While opening the Annual Entrepreneurship workshop organized by the Fiji Arts Council in partnership with the Department of Heritage and Arts will focus on improving and enhancing the work of our Fijian artesian Akbar says budgetary provisions will ensure that artists such as the participants continue to thrive in the work that you they do thus contributing to economic sustainability and empowerment.

She also stressed that the Ministry through the Department of Heritage will continue to collaborate with statutory bodies such as the Fiji Arts Council to deliver key deliverables that contributes to economic growth.

The workshop is being held at the Peninsula Hotel in Suva will end on Thursday.
