The Flying Fijians have opened their Rugby World Cup campaign with a winning statement beating Namibia 49-25.
Winger, Vereniki Goneva is the first player in this tournament to cross the try line on 4 occasions and also the first for a Fijian player in the RWC scoring three in the first half and one in the second half.
Fiji's other tries came from lock forward Leone Nakarawa and Napolioni Nalaga with Seremaia Bai responsible for the kicking duties.
Fiji led 32-15 in the first half before wrapping up with a 49-25 win.
Captain, Deacon Manu said that he was happy with a win knowing what the Namibian team brought into this game.
Namibia captain, Jacques Burger said that they allow Fiji to get to a great start with 4 tries in the first half.
Also 2007 RWC Coach, Ilivasi Tabua said that it is good to set a platform where they can work from in the rest of their pool games.
Fiji's second pool game is against South Africa next Saturday at 6pm.
Romania almost created the first upset of the Rugby World cup today.
Scotland came from behind to beat Romania 34-24 in a Pool B match earlier today.
Matches coming up tonight, France plays Japan at 6pm and England will take on Argentina at 8.30pm.
