The condition of the Golden Age Home facility in Lautoka is deteriorating but the quality of care provided to senior citizens has not been compromised.

This was highlighted by the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Rosy Akbar when asked in parliament by SODELPA MP Jese Saukuru to give an update on the condition of the home in Lautoka.

Akbar says the building is not in a condition to be renovated.

She says they have other capital projects which are and have been undertaken and next on the list is the new Golden Home for the Western Division.
