Gender reveal is not encouraged by the Ministry for Health - Dr Fong
Permanent Secretary for Health Doctor James Fong.

Concerns have been raised by pregnant women that most Ministry of Health clinics are not revealing the gender of the baby unless the women are related to nurses and doctors in the clinic, and they are encouraged by nurses that they can go to private clinics for gender reveal paying $80 to $120.

Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor James Fong says gender reveal is not encouraged with their service given that it is not an essential clinical need.

Doctor Fong says there is at times a poor ability to accurately predict gender, as such the practice of scan of gender reveal is not endorsed.
