Gas, diesel and kerosene prices to go up in January

Get ready to dig deeper into your pockets for gas, diesel and kerosene from this Wednesday.

Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission says the price of diesel will be $2.31 per litre from Wednesday while the price of kerosene will increase by 4 cents to $1.78 per litre.

The price of a 4.5kg cylinder of gas has increased by 18 cents going up to $15.53, while a 12kg cylinder will cost $41.42, up by 50 cents.

The price for unleaded fuel remains the same at $2.67.

The fuel and LPG product price review in Fiji follows a one-month lag period.

Therefore, the local fuel and LPG prices for January 2025 are based on refined fuel and butane imports made by fuel and LPG companies in November 2024.
