Its game day in Wellington.

The Wellington 7s starts at 10am today with the first game between Wales and Russia.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will play their first game at 10.46am against Australia, Fiji will then play Japan at 2.10pm while their last game is against South Africa at 6.18 tonight.

The team was presented their jersey’s last night.

Team coach Gareth Baber says his job is to combine the strengths Fijian players have generally with the way that he would like to play the game and the consistency and performance that they need to get.

Baber says that is not going to come overnight and its going to come through a process.

Baber says the team will continue to play with the traditional   Fijian way on the field but there is room for improvement.

Barring any upset, Fiji may meet New Zealand, USA, France or Samoa in the medal quarter‑finals.

The medal quarterfinals will begin at 11.38am tomorrow while the semifinals will begin at 4.16pm.

The medal final will be held at 7.30 tomorrow night.
