The Great Council of Chiefs is working closely with the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces and the Fiji National University in providing training for young future leaders.

GCC Chairman Ratu Viliame Seruvakula says he will have a discussion with FNU to finalise the details of the traditional leadership diploma.

He says they are looking at this to be progressive and they have Certificate levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Ratu Viliame highlighted that they are concerned about social issues such as drugs creeping into schools and the chiefs believe that enhancing village by-laws would help them strengthen and maintain social order in the village.
