Tyson Fury wants to be boxing’s highest-paid fighter when he renews his current deal.

Fury still has two bouts left on his five-fight deal with American promoters Top Rank and US broadcaster ESPN that was worth around $160m when he signed in early 2019.

Now the giant Brit wants to eclipse Mexican Canelo Alvarez’s $580m deal with online broadcaster DAZN.

Fury has some bargaining power as the WBC heavyweight champion and general acceptance as the division’s best fighter and one of boxing’s most intriguing characters.

He is undefeated with 30 wins and one draw with the potential to unify the heavyweight ranks.
