Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli is confident that the 13 players that they have chosen will compete well and challenge top teams in the Dubai 7s this weekend.

11 players are from the team that won bronze at the Tokyo Olympic Games this year.

He says they have good depth in the squad that allows them to fill in the void left by four of their key players who have secured contracts overseas.

The Fijiana 7s team will kick off their campaign against Ireland at 5.22pm tomorrow, they will take on Canada at 8.56pm tomorrow and play Russia at 3.05am Saturday in their third pool match.

They will meet Great Britain at 9.07pm Saturday in their final pool match.

The Women’s bronze final will be at 2.07am Saturday while the final will be at 2.57am Saturday.

In the men’s competition, Fiji will face France at 7.22pm tomorrow and will take on Canada at 10.52pm tomorrow in the second game. Fiji will take on Australia at 3.33am Saturday in their last pool game.

The cup quarterfinals will begin at 6.28pm Saturday, the cup semifinal will start at 10.18pm Saturday and the final will be played at 3.26am Sunday.
