Fuel prices to increase from tomorrow
Fuel prices will go up from tomorrow.

That was announced by the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum at a press conference yesterday.

The current prices of motor spirit has increased by 13 cents per liter from $2.48 to $2.61, premix goes up by 13 cents from $2.40 to $2.53, kerosene by 2 cents $1.84 to $1.86 and diesel goes up by 6 cents from $2.25 a liter to $2.31 cents.

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said the increase is beyond our control.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Commerce Commission, Dr Mahedra Reddy said the increase basically is due to two factors, one is the situation in the Middle East which is affecting suppliers and also the global economic activity in the United States of America which is increasing.
