Fuel prices change tomorrow
The Prices and Incomes Board has announced that retail prices of motor spirit and premix will increase while the price of diesel will decrease from tomorrow.

Consumers in the Suva, Lautoka and Lami areas should expect the following reductions in retail price from service stations.

The price of motor spirit will increase by 12 cents from $1.45 to $1.57 per litre whereas premix outboard fuel will cost 13 cents more from $1.34 to $1.47 per litre.

The price of diesel will decrease by 1 cent and the new price will be $1.33 per litre.

The price of kerosene will remain at 1.05 per litre.

These prices are based on the January 2009 world prices.

The PIB said fuel prices have started increasing from January 2009 and translated into the Fiji market after two months as the board conducts monthly price reviews based on the cost of internationally traded products with a two month lag.

Traders and consumers are advised that the above prices will differ in others areas due to additional cartage and delivery charges.
