French Health Minister Olivier Véran confirmed in a press conference that France has ordered 1 billion face masks from China. CNN reports that the country could produce 8 million face masks a week but consumed 40 million each week.
A week ago Olivier Véran says France had ordered over 250 million masks amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
