Four Corrections Officers charged with the alleged murder of remand prisoner Jone Masirewa have their bail extended

Four Corrections Officers charged with the alleged murder of remand prisoner Jone Masirewa have had their bail extended by the Lautoka High Court.

Onisimo Raboiliku, Semesa Bulikalougata, Suliasi Tubuna and Navitalai Kanavo are charged with murder and also charged for allegedly assaulting two other remand prisoners on 12th and 13th April 2020 at Natabua Corrections Centre, Lautoka.

Masirewa who was in his 30’s was charged with burglary.

Meanwhile the four are also charged with assault causing actual bodily harm while Bulikalougata is facing a charge of common assault.

The case has been adjourned to 24th November 2020 for plea.
