Former senior executive of a publicly listed company given suspended sentence for indecent assault

The former senior executive of a publicly listed company who is convicted of indecent assault has been given a suspended sentence by Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili.

He has been sentenced to 14 months which has been suspended for 2 years.

This means the man will have to serve the sentence if he commits an offence within the suspension period.

It was heard in court that the victim was a flight attendant and the man indecently touched her on the flight.

There is still permanent name suppression for the man.
