Former radio announcer guilty of manslaughter to be sentenced this Friday

Former Radio announcer Pio Ratuwaqa who has been found guilty for one count each of manslaughter and driving while having alcohol in excess of the prescribed limit will be sentenced this Friday.

Ratuwaqa was involved in a road accident which occurred along Nasese in Suva in March, 2019 where he lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road at Gardiner Place.

A 26-year-old woman who was the passenger was rushed to the CWM Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.
