A former officer of the Registrar of Titles and a law clerk appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today on corruption related offences.
FICAC has charged Ravikashwar Chand with one count of Falsification of Documents for allegedly falsifying the transfer of Title lease number.
Hemant Kumar is facing one count each of Giving Information Derived from False Document, Obtaining a Financial Advantage and Fraudulently Falsification of Accounts.
He is alleged to have given false information from a false document to an individual regarding the title and obtained $2,750 and further falsified the receipts for his former law firm by altering the entries.
Both have been released on bail and the matter has been adjourned to the 3rd of February next year.
