Former lecturer fronts court for allegedly condemning COVID-19 vaccine and creating public alarm

A former Lecturer of a University, Nanise Vucago appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today for allegedly condemning the COVID-19 vaccine and creating public alarm and anxiety through her live videos.

The alleged incidents occurred last month.

Vucago has been charged with five counts of Malicious Acts.

Vucago who resides in Raiwaqa has been ordered to surrender all travel documents and deactivate her Facebook account, Vucago Noody.

She has also been told to refrain from publishing posts in other Facebook accounts.

The case has been adjourned to the 6th of September for plea.
