Former US President Bill Clinton checked into a Washington, D.C., hospital yesterday afternoon for testing and observation after developing a fever.

Clinton was admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center, where he remains under observation.

Clinton's deputy chief of staff, Angel Ureña, wrote on X that the former President is in good spirits and deeply appreciates the excellent care he is receiving.

Clinton, 78, was previously hospitalized in 2021 for an infection that had reached his bloodstream but was released after six days.

Earlier this year, he spent time campaigning alongside Vice President Kamala Harris.
