A former Agriculture Assistant charged by FICAC with two counts of General Dishonesty – Obtaining a Gain has been granted bail by the Nadi Magistrates Court.
In 2016, Ivamere Buituni allegedly obtained a total of $1,800 from an individual by claiming to arrange for the drilling of a borehole and the supply of poultry manure for the farm.
Magistrate Nirosha Kannangara granted bail for Buituni and instructed her to report to the FICAC Lautoka office on the last week of every month, not to re-offend and not to change her place of residence.
A stop departure order was also imposed.
The matter has been adjourned to 17 December 2019.
