Focus is on quickly fixing schools to ensure students are moved from tents - Seruiratu

Minister for Disaster Management, Inia Seruiratu says the focus in the Northern Division has mainly been on quick fixes on schools to ensure students are moved from tents to school buildings.

Some of the schools that have been affected by cyclones Yasa and Ana are Bua College, Dama District School, Cobui Sanatan Primary School, Maramarua District School, Qalitu District School, Daku Primary School and Nadogo Secondary School.

Seruiratu says they are also assisting the students and teachers of the affected schools through food rations and some items.

He says they are aware of the situation of the parents and will be providing assistance in schools.
