Flying Fijians secure their first Northern Tour win

The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians have thrashed Canada 57-17 this morning to secure their first win of the Northern Tour.

The Flying Fijians ran in a total of nine tries and were leading 33-10 at the break.

Prop Kalivati Tawake, hooker Tuapati Talemaitoga, halfback Frank Lomani and Vereniki Goneva scored Fiji’s tries in the first half along with a penalty try.

The national side continued their dominance in the second half with tries from Peceli Yato, Leone Nakarawa, Levani Botia and Semi Kunatani.

Looking at other test matches, Scotland scored eight tries in a thrilling 53‑24 win over Australia.

 

The Springboks thrashed Italy 35‑6, England made it three wins out of three after defeating Samoa 48‑14, the All Blacks beat Wales 33-18, Georgia edged USA 21-20, Tonga beat Romania 25-20 while Ireland defeated Argentina 28-19.
