The Vodafone Flying Fijians lost to the Wallabies 28-13 in their second Rugby World Cup match early this morning.

Nemani Nadolo converted Volavola’s try and kicked two penalties.

Fiji gave the Wallabies a strong performance as the forwards won all their scrum and pushed over Australia’s forwards to win two scrums.

Fiji’s captain Akapusi Qera says played against a good side and gave their best.

Qera adds that they will now focus on Wales.

Wallabies captain Stephen Moore says that Fiji gave them a tough game.

Australia led 18-3 at halftime with two tries from David Pocock while Sekope Kepu burst through the Fijian defence in the 42nd minute to score their third try.

Fiji’s lock Leone Nakarawa showed had a good game with his offloads and steals from the rucks and lineouts.

The Flying Fijians outplayed Australia in the second half  and this was only five days after playing England.

Fiji had 54% of the possession in the match.

Fiji will now face Wales at 3.45am next Friday.
