Ireland scrum coach John Fogarty has described the Fiji Water Flying Fijians as a dangerous side.

Fogarty says they played Fiji two years ago and they have certainly improved.

He says you can see that through the Wales game where they won 24-19, while they didn’t quite have their full side out in the Scotland match.

The scrum coach says it is important that they are focusing on developing a good performance.

Meanwhile, Fogarty says veteran prop Tadhg Furlong is on track to make a comeback and be available to play against Fiji, while Ryan Baird has been ruled out due to concussion.

Tighthead Furlong missed the opening two rounds of the Autumn Series because of a hamstring issue while Baird sustained a head injury shortly after coming on in the second half of Saturday’s 22-19 win over Argentina.

He described Furlong as being full of energy and will be assessed as they go along.

Their front row options are set to be further boosted by the return of prop Tom O’Toole, who is available after suffering a head injury against the All Blacks.

Fogarty says it is important that they are doing right by everyone continuing in terms of team selection.

Ireland host the Flying Fijians at 3.10am Sunday at Aviva Stadium.
