Consumers will have to dig deeper into their pockets as the price of flour and sharps increases from today.
The price of 1kg normal flour that was $1.11 cents will cost $1.24 cents from today, 4kg normal flour that used to cost $4.23 cents will now cost $4.73 and the price of 10kg flour will now cost $11.55 cents which used to be $10.29.
The price of 1kg sharps will increase to $1.24 cents from $1.12 cents, 4kg sharps increase to $4.76 cents from $4.28 cents while 10kg sharps will now cost $11.62 cents which used to cost $10.42 cents.
Prices and Incomes Board (PIB) had announced that the increase is due to world market price of wheat and the impact of the devaluation in April.
