Flood waters have started to enter the Ba Town again this morning and the public has been advised to take precautions

The Ba Town Council says flood waters are threatening their town once more and people’s safety is paramount.

The Council says they are advising people to heed evacuation orders if necessary.

Meanwhile, the Nadi Weather Office says the water level at Ba Fiji Sugar Corporation Station which was above the warning level is now decreasing.

A Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji while a Flash Flood Warning remains for all flood-prone areas, small streams and low-lying areas of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

A Flood Alert remains in force for flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of major rivers of Viti Levu.
